Tessa Sutton is currently working on being certified to teach art education (K-12) with a social studies endorsement in U.S. and world history (5-12). She is a visual artist working primarily in the mediums of painting and drawing in relation to history, receiving her MFA from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco and a BA in history from Grinnell College. Originally from Des Moines, IA, she recently returned to the Midwest after a long roost in Brooklyn, NY and San Francisco, CA. In addition to exhibiting in America and Europe, she has taught students of all ages in a museum, community college, a women’s correctional facility, public school programs and privately.
